
Laurie is a board-certified physician assistant with more than ten years of clinical experience, including nearly a decade in gastroenterology. She is proud to join Gastroenterology of Greater Orlando, where she sees patients in Orange City and Lake Mary.
Originally from Montgomery, Ala., Laurie earned her undergraduate degree from Mercer University in Macon, Ga., and her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercer’s Atlanta campus. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates.
Laurie’s background includes four years in colorectal surgery and extensive experience caring for patients with digestive and colorectal conditions in both hospital and clinic settings. She has a special interest in women’s digestive health, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and colorectal disorders. Laurie has also served as a sub-investigator on clinical trials in gastroenterology, asthma, and cardiovascular disease.
